On his way to become an absolute Badminton legend. Not a world or Olympic champion yet, but his insane playing style alone makes watching him a joy for the eyes. So quick with feet and racket, adventurous and skillful. Maybe the most spectacular badminton player of all times!

Marcus Fernaldi Gideon

Second part of the Indonesian Badminton minions. Perfect partner for Kevin Sukamuljo, doing the hard work at the back court to set up Kevin at the net. Not as brilliant as his partner (well, who is?), but actually is improving his net game lately.

Mohammad Ahsan

Amazing partnership with Setiawan from 2013 – 2016. I loved them so much, because they complemented each other so well. Ahsan thundering his heart out for every smash, setting up Setiawan was a joy to watch. Now they are back together and I secretely hope for a medal in Tokyo 2020. But let`s just see, if they even qualify. Not an easy task for the Daddies.

Tontowi Ahmad

Ahmad went through an incredible developement after being partnered with Liliyana Natsir. He was very wild in the beginning, but slowly evolved into a perfect mixed player by the lead of Natsir. Strong defence, hard smashes, great movement and he even mastered the soft shots below the tape. This resulted in a well deserved Olympic gold medal without even loosing a game.

Lets forget about that unfortunate match-fixing incident during the Olympic Games in London. Everyone deserves a second chance, so lets focus on her badminton talent. A very skilled player indeed with great touch and technique.

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting

Indonesia`s biggest hope for a successor of Badminton genius Taufik Hidayat. Made some very good progress lately and even took out current dominator Kento Momota in convincing fashion.

Jonathan Christie

Before Ginting appeared, Jonathan Christie was his home countries biggest promise in mens singles. But currently he seems a little stuck and isn`t able to improve his game. The talent is certainly there, hopefully he will be able to live up to it.
