Best Strings For Badminton Rackets
The badminton string is ideally the point of contact between your racket and the shuttlecock. Therefore it is a highly important part of your equipment that should suit your racket, your technique and your playing style.
The best badminton string manufacturers provide 5 different values for all the different strings, that point out their qualities and strengths:
1. Repulsion Power
2. Control
3. Hitting Sound
4. Durability
5. Shock Absorbtion
These will already give you a hint, what you can expect from a specific string. But of course these factors also depend on the stringing tension that you choose.
High tension:
Repulsion Power: Low
Control: High
Hitting Sound: High
Durability: Low
Shock Absorbtion: Low
Low tension:
Repulsion Power: High
Control: Low
Hitting Sound: Low
Durability: High
Shock Absorbtion: High
So the best string tension in Badminton is important. Among these five factors, the gauge of the strings also plays a major role. It is recommended for beginners to use thicker strings since thinner strings are easier to break from mis-hits.
To choose a badminton string, you should take note of your playing style as different strings will help with certain aspects of the game.
